TRANS TONGUES
Our new mini-journal series is open for submissions. Each volume will feature the work of trans and/ or non-binary writers, with artwork by trans and/ or non-binary visual artists featured on the front and back covers.
Deadline: Midnight, 30th May
GENERAL SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES
Trans Tongues accepts written and visual art submissions by trans and/ or non-binary artists. Please only submit if you identify as trans and/ or non-binary.
We DO accept simultaneous submissions (although please let us know immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere). We will let artists know if they have been accepted by Wednesday 19th June. We may work editorially with you.
We run t'ART on a voluntary basis and don't currently have the funds to pay contributors but all contributors will receive a physical copy of the journal.
The best way to get a sense of the kind of work we love is to read one of our previous issues. You can buy copies of previous issues here.
PROSE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We accept prose submissions of up to 1000 words, across fiction and creative non-fiction, including prose poems and hybrid works. Please do not submit more than one piece to each volume. Please note, we DON'T accept previously published work (including work published on social media or blogs).
POETRY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
You can submit up to two poems to each volume. The journal will be an A5 portrait publication so you should consider this if your poem involves complex formatting. Please note, we DON'T accept previously published work (including work published on social media or blogs).
VISUAL ART SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We accept any forms of visual art that can be printed from photography to painting, drawing to digital illustration and everything in between! You can submit up to two pieces to each volume. The journal will be an A5 portrait publication so you should consider this when submitting your work. Please note, we DON'T accept previously published work (but are happy to accept visual art submissions that have been published on social media).
